Virtual servers,
built and run in London.

ThamesVPS operates its own racks at Equinix LD8. No resellers, no hidden oversubscription tiers — dedicated cores, NVMe storage and a 10 Gbit blended network, billed by the hour or the month.

Operating principles

Built the way we'd want it built.

ThamesVPS started because the cheap end of the market kept cutting corners that mattered. These are the four we won't.

01

We own the metal.

Every node is bought, racked and operated by our own engineers — no resellers between you and the hypervisor.

02

Predictable performance.

Cores aren't oversold beyond a 3:1 ratio. RAM is never overcommitted. Read your noisy-neighbour graphs in the panel.

03

Real support, not scripts.

Tickets reach a network engineer within ten minutes during business hours, an on-call engineer outside them.

04

Honest pricing.

The price you sign up at is the price you renew at. No introductory rates, no surprise transfer overage at month-end.

FAQ

Questions we get every week.

Still unclear? Email hello@thamesvps.com — replies typically within an hour during UK business hours.

Where exactly is the equipment?

Equinix LD8 in Docklands, with cold-standby capacity at Telehouse North Two. Both are PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 certified facilities.

How does provisioning actually work?

Orders trigger a Proxmox API call against the least-loaded node in the requested availability zone. Cloud-init applies your SSH key, sets rDNS via our IPAM, and the VM boots in under a minute.

Do you allow Tor exits, mailing, scraping?

No Tor exits, no bulk outbound mail without prior approval, no abusive scraping. Outbound port 25 is closed by default and unlocked on request after KYC.

What happens if I get DDoS'd?

Volumetric attacks are absorbed at our edge before they hit the host. Application-layer attacks are your responsibility, but we can advise on Cloudflare or Path.net front-ends.

Refunds?

Seven-day money-back on first orders, no questions. After that, prorated credit for unused time when you cancel.
